Visit to the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities and to the National Museum of Cinema for Lower Secondary students

On Wednesday, May 26 2010, Lower Secondary students went to the Museum of Egyptian antiquities in Torino, that holds one of the largest collection of Egyptian items in the world after the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, with 6500 pieces exhibited.

They had the opportunity to marvel at the intact tumb o Khâ and Merit, saw many mummies and the statue representing the goddess Isis and Ramses II.

This day brought lors of enriching information to our students, and especially for the 6° class since their program focuses on that civilization. At 2.00 pm, students went to the Mole Antonelliana, ancient synagogue that became the siege of the National Museum of Cinema. They discovered optical tools from the pre-cinematographic times and pieces retrieved from the sets of the first Italian movies. Students really enjoyed the panoramic lift as well.
