The Ombrosa School Choir made a welcome return to the Church of l’Immaculée Conception in Caluire.
The church has been completely redecorated following the shocking fire that took place last January. The wonderfully restored interior seemed to inspire the choir to give a fabulous and uplifting concert of traditional French, English, and German Christmas Carols.
This year, the choir for the first time in a number of years, has roughly equal number of choristers shared between the years CE1 to CM2, with as many as 25 pupils from CM2. The total number of singers is 80, with many more joining after Christmas. The Ombrosa Primary School Choir is going from strength to strength.
A number of musicians performed solo or duet pieces in the concert: Lucas P (CM1); Lucas B (CM2), Annabelle and Amy Hobourn (CE1 and Term Int), Lisa (CM2), Julie and Lise (Duet – CM1).
The choir is to be congratulated for their commitment, enthusiasm, and pride, which was clearly evident throughout the concert.
