Shading a new light over disabilities

Un autre regard sur le handicap (“Shading a new light over disabilities”), presentation by Clément Dumon from the Zicomatic association.

“Do you know people with disabilities? Have you ever seen disabled people? What do you feel when you see disabled people? Have you ever felt fear? Have you ever felt clumsy?” Here are some questions over which Clément Dumon, president of the Zicomatic association, and students of CM1 and CM2 in Voglans had the opportunity to exchange on May 03rd.

Since we mostly fear the unknown, Clément described his job to us (educator towards disabled people), his association, and shared with us his feelings, his fears, his clumsiness, his encounters…

He made us discover many forms of disabilities, since so many of them cannot be seen!

We discovered the notion of “handicapable”, meaning people with a disability but who manage to accomplish amazing things!

We even learnt a few signs in LSF (French Sign Language)!

Since everybody loves music, it is at the heart of the actions led by the Zicomatic association, and it is with a song that the presentation ended.

We encourage you to support the Zicomatic association as well!
