In the middle of January, just as the temperature had descended to -9°, Miss Ellie and Miss O’Sullivan the Drama and English teachers, braved the elements to accompany a group of 2ndes IGCSE Drama students to a School’s Shakespeare Festival in the beautiful Neumünster Abbey cultural centre in Luxembourg. The small group of six had written and devised a contemporary interpretation of Hamlet, which they performed at the festival alongside other performances by schools from Luxembourg, Antwerp and the UK. The experience was memorable and their play was a huge success; appreciated by all, including a professional actor who had attended to adjudicate the festival.
