As part of the 17th Biennale d’art contemporain, students from the Première générale and students from the international option Arts program visited the Institut d’Art Contemporain (IAC), a center dedicated to contemporary and emerging art. For the biennial, the IAC honors young creation (25-35 years) by offering resident artists the means to realize their first works. The visit, led by Géraldine A., allowed students to discover the works while asking many questions about their meaning, the techniques used, as well as the issues of transport and conservation. Their curiosity and attention enriched the exchanges.
This visit to the IAC offered students an immersion in contemporary art, stimulating reflection, curiosity and debate. It also allowed them to address a variety of issues, around the issues of identity, culture and society, in an original way compared to our school habits.
